Something Funny That Happened To Me

[True story about something that happened while we were house-sitting in France in a fancy old house with an alarm system.]

One day I was reading at night. Then I finished reading. I went to tell my mom and dad, but I set the alarm off and almost scared myself to death! I ran to the door of my parents’ room with my ears covered by my ans. The alarm sounded like this: ding a ling ling over and over again.

A scarey ghost story for Halloween

[We stayed in an old, old house in France, and we thought it would be fun to make up a ghost story that could have happened there]

One day in the 1060’s and evil kid was beheaded and he still haunts that place today. He killed all in the house’s village where he died one by one until they all were dead. He kills everyone who comes near the house. They call him “Headless Arcane”. Nobody has seen him and come back to tell about it.

The August King

{This writing challenge required using the words: august, mold, stone, opulence, audible, real, lazy, seize, counterfeit, exposed, jumble, sunrise}

There was an august king. He found some mold in his bread. It was as gray as stone and not at all opulent. His complaint was audible throughout the palace. His crown was made of real gold. He was not lazy. He didn’t seize things. His mood was not counterfeit. His weapons are in the royal armory and all jumbled up. His palace is exposed against the other buildings. He is only 10, but is alowed to watch the sunrise.
