Around the world, and estimated 800 million people, including 160 million children under 5 years old do not have enough food. However, in the U.S. and other rich countries, we have too much food. About 64% of U.S. adults are overweight. That’s almost 200 million people in the US alone! It is also estimated that half of the food produced each year in the US is wasted. Why is there such a difference between rich and poor countries, and what should be done about it?

Two-thirds of food wasted in the US should be exported to other countries that need food. To export food to Central America from the US, you would use solar-powered cars, trucks vans, etc. The government would pay for the solar panels. On day they would run on solar energy. At night they would run on gas.

If you found out that you had a deadly disease, and you would only have one month to live, what would you want to do in that month?

I would play on the Wii and computer. I would eat pizza every day, watch all episodes of Avatar, and eat Cheetos. And I would go see the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Colosseum of Rome, and Stonehenge.

What would you get if you crossed a chicken and a snail? What would you call it? What would it look like? Be very descriptive!

You would get a “snicken”. it would slurp up its food. It would walk on chicken feet. It would not make a noise.

Mom: Are you glad we’ve traveled so much? What have you been able to do and see that you would have missed out on in Arkansas? When you grow up, do you want to keep traveling, or will you settle down?

MrMadPenny: Yes, I’m glad we have been traveling. I’ve been able to eat sour geckos (candy), Pushpops, and plantain chips. I would not have learned French if we didn’t travel. I would like to stay in Canada because of their Cheetos. I’d like to settle down in Canada.

If you were going to a toy store, where would you go?  What clothes would you wear?  What toys would you buy?  Who would you invite to go with you?

I would go to Toys R Us.  I’d wear jeans, shoes, and my green shirt.  I would buy one of each boy toys/games.  I would invite Cameron because he’s fun.  I would go there by bike.
